This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of GreatBoox, ltd.
This Privacy Policy applies to all GreatBoox users, including unregistered visitors, registered users, and premium users (collectively, “Users”, “you”, or “your”), and to all GreatBoox services, (“GreatBoox”, “we”, “our” or “us”) on the collection, use and disclosure of your information on www.greatboox.com (the “Website”), including and any of its subdomains, web applications (“GreatBoox Apps”), mobile applications (“Mobile Apps”), and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy is not intended to override the terms of any contract you have with us, nor any rights you may have under other applicable data privacy laws.
Prior to accessing or using our Services, please read this policy and make sure you fully understand our practices in relation to your Personal Information. If you read and fully understand this Privacy Policy, and remain opposed to our practices, you must immediately leave and discontinue all use of any of our Services. 2. Children
We provide info about children books and related products and activities, intended for parent or others legal guardian. If you are below the age of 13, you may use our website and services only with the permission and active involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you are a minor, please do not provide us or other website visitors with any personal information and do not use this website. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@greatboox.com and we will look to delete that information from our databases.
3. Personal Information We Collect and how we use it
GreatBoox collects personal information about you in several different ways, depending on how you interact with our Platform. Please note that the types of personal information we collect differs depending on how you're using our Platform, for example, as a Creator or a User.
a. Personal Information You Give Us (Or that We May Receive From Others).
We collect personal information you directly provide to us. We may also receive personal information about you from others; e.g. from another user or our payment processors.
b. Personal Information We May Collect From Any Users of Our Platform.
Account Information. To use certain features of our Platform (such as to create a companion experience or to enroll in a course), you'll need to register for an account with GreatBoox. To do so, you'll need to provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, email address, and password.
Third Party Integrations. You may allow our Platform to interact with third party services (such as Facebook and Google). The information you allow GreatBoox to access varies by service, and it is affected by the privacy settings you and those that you are connected with establish while using such services. Third-party services are operated, controlled, and maintained by third parties that are not operated, controlled, or maintained by GreatBoox. We recommend that you read the terms of use and privacy policies of those third party services to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information with us or other third parties.
Other Personal Information.You may choose to provide us with other personal information. For example, we may collect your name, email address and other personal information when you register to GreatBoox courses, participate in GreatBoox community or promotion, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.
c. Personal Information We May Collect Automatically.
We automatically collect certain information from your interactions with our Platform.
1) Usage Data. GreatBoox logs usage information when you visit and use our Platform. This information may include IP address, browser type, operating system, and other information about the use of our website, such as the pages you viewed, when you viewed them, and links that were clicked.
2) Cookies and other third-party technologies. GreatBoox may collect information about you through the use of cookies and other similar technologies. Cookies are pieces of data in the form of text files that your browser stores on your hard drive and sends back to us when making requests, and similar technologies.
3) Approximate Location. We may receive and process information about your approximate location. For example, we may be able to determine your approximate location from your IP address and other information about you. GreatBoox does not ask for or track any precise location-based information.
d. Personal Information We May Collect from Creators.
GreatBoox Creator Studio Plans. When you subscribe to a paid GreatBoox plan, we will collect certain personal information from you for the purposes of billing your subscription fees and any payment service fees, such as your business and billing address. You'll also need to provide certain payment-related information directly to our third party-payment processors, as described below.
e. Personal Information We May Collect from Users.
User Payment Information. To purchase a course or other products services through our Platform, you'll need to provide us with certain personal information, such as your name, address, and information about the service you are purchasing. You may also need to provide certain payment-related information directly to our third party payment processors, as described below.
Third Party Payment Processors. We use third party payment processors like PayPal and Stripe to process payments through the GreatBoox Platform. this information includes your payment card type and last four digits, payment expiration date, zip code, approximate location based on IP address, country of origin, and any email address associated with the payment type. For security purposes, GreatBoox does not collect or receive any sensitive payment information, such as your complete card number or authentication data. Our third-party payment processors are independent from GreatBoox and have their own privacy policies. For additional information about how your payment information is processed and stored, we recommend that you review the applicable payment processor's privacy policy.
Participation in Creator Content. When you enroll in a companion experience, course, or use or access other Creator Content, GreatBoox will collect personal information relating to your participation in the Creator Content, such as companion experiences and courses you have enrolled in, experiences and engagement progress.
4. Why do we collect such ‘Personal Information’
a. We use your Personal Information for the following purposes:
· To provide and operate the Services;
· To further develop, customize, expand, and improve our Services, based on Users’ common or personal preferences, experiences and difficulties;
· To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;
· To be able to contact our Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;
· To help us to update, expand and analyze our records to identify new customers;
· To facilitate, sponsor, and offer certain contests, events, and promotions, determine participants’ eligibility, monitor performance, contact winners, and grant prizes and benefits;
· To analyze our performance and marketing activities;
· To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;
· To provide you with professional assistance , only upon your request;
· To enhance our data security and fraud prevention capabilities; and
· To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.
b. We use your Personal Information for the purposes set out in Section 4 where:
· Our use of your Personal Information is necessary to perform a contract or to take steps to enter into a contract with you (e.g. to provide you with a companion experience and courses builder, to provide you with our customer assistance and technical support);
· Our use of your Personal Information is necessary to comply with a relevant legal or regulatory obligation that we have; or
· Our use of your Personal Information is necessary to support legitimate interests and business purposes (for example, to maintain and improve our Services and the effectiveness of GreatBoox by identifying technical issues), provided it is conducted in a way that is proportionate and that respects your privacy rights.
5. How We Share Personal Information We Collect
GreatBoox only shares your personal information with third parties under the circumstances described below. We do not provide, sell, rent, release, disclose, or otherwise transfer other kind of User data for monetary or other valuable consideration.
a. Sharing of User Information with Creators
Creators are the owners of content that they upload, submit, or otherwise provide to the Platform ("Creator Content") and are the controller with respect to any personal information included in their Creator Content. GreatBoox acts as a processor when it processes Creator Content on behalf of the Creator.
When you participate in Creator Content, GreatBoox will share certain personal information about you ("User Data") with the Creator to allow the Creator to provide you with their services.
GreatBoox and Creators may each use User Data for their own business purposes, at all times subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Agreement and our Terms of Use.
The Creator and GreatBoox each act as an independent controller with respect to their particular use of User Data.
Creators acknowledge and agree that they are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to the protection of personal information for which they are controllers.
The set of personal information that we share with Creators is limited to the following:
1) Account information, including your name and email address
2) Purchase information, including amount paid, your address, and other billing information (but never your complete card number, which we do not collect)
3) IP address
4) Information about your participation in the Creator Content, such as the Creator Content you enrolled in, Experience or lecture completion status, companion experience or course progress.
5) Any messages you exchange with the Creator through GreatBoox
GreatBoox will only provide User Data to a Creator upon a purchase by or enrollment of a User in the Creator's Content.
GreatBoox does not disclose any other types of personal information about Users to Creators.
Any additional personal information that is shared by a User with a Creator is done so at the discretion of the User. The Creator is responsible for protecting Users' personal information that they collect and processing that information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Users who have questions about Creators' privacy practices should contact the Creators directly and ask to review the Creators' privacy policies.
b. Sharing of Creator Information with Users
When you use GreatBoox Services to publish Creator Content, information contained in your Creator Content will be viewable to users who are given access to your Creator Content. For example, when you publish your bio on a sales page, personal information in your bio will be viewable to persons who visit your sales page.
If you are a user or customer of any of our Creators, and would like to make any requests or queries regarding your Personal Information, please contact such Creator(s) directly. For example, if you wish to request to access, correct, amend, or delete inaccurate Personal Information processed by GreatBoox on behalf of its Creators, please direct your query to the relevant Creator (who is the “Controller” of such data). If GreatBoox is requested by our Creators to remove any Users' Personal Information, we will respond to such requests in a timely manner upon verification and in accordance with applicable law (for example, thirty (30) days under the GDPR). Unless otherwise instructed by our Creator, we will retain their Users’ Personal Information for the period set forth in Data Retention Section below.
Please keep in mind that all of the information that you share or content that you publish in your bio, posts, comments, or other public portions of our Platform becomes public information. Because this information is publicly available, we cannot control how others treat it. We ask you to exercise care in deciding what personal information you choose to share, and refrain from sharing your sensitive personal information and those of others. To clarify, we advise users against uploading or posting any information they do not wish to be public.
We may also share your personal information in the following ways:
c. With Integrated Services
When you choose to integrate third party services with our Platform, your personal information may be shared with these third parties. We recommend that you read the terms of use and privacy policies of those third party services to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information.
d. With Your Consent
GreatBoox may send your personal information to a third party when you give us consent to do so or at your direction. For example, this may occur when we complete a transaction at your request.
e. With Service Providers
We may share personal information with vendors, consultants, payment processors, and other service providers that provide us with certain services and process personal information on our behalf. These services may include providing customer support, performing business and sales analysis, supporting our website functionality, facilitating payment processing, and supporting contests, surveys, and other features offered on our Platform.
These service providers are not permitted to use your personal information for any other purpose, and their use of such personal information will be subject to appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
f. With Business Partners
We sometimes partner with third parties to offer you events, promotions, contests and other programs. To participate in these offers, you may be required to provide your email address and other personal information. We will only share your email address and other personal information with a business partner when you expressly authorize us to do so.
g. With Advertising and Analytics Partners
We may share usage data with third-party advertisers, advertisement networks, and analytics providers through cookies and other similar technologies. These third parties may collect information sent by your computer, browser, or mobile device in response to a request for content, such as unique identifiers, your IP address, or other information about your computer or device.
h. Legal Requirements.
We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) cooperate with a legal investigation or a request from a government authority, (iii) protect and defend the rights or property of GreatBoox ltd, (iv) protect the legal rights, safety, and security of users of our website and the Service, (v) protect our legal rights and legitimate interests, and those of our business partners, service providers, and customers; (vi) prevent fraud; (vii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public, or (v) protect against legal liability.
6. Where do we store your ‘Personal Information’?
Creators and Users' Personal Information may be stored in data centers located in the United States of America, Europe and Israel. We may use other jurisdictions as necessary for the proper delivery of our Services and/or as may be required by law.
7. Your rights in relation to your ‘Personal Information’
GreatBoox agrees that it is imperative that you have control over your Personal Information. Pursuant to privacy regulations worldwide, GreatBoox is taking steps to enable you to request access to, receive a copy of, update, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Information.
Before fulfilling your request, we may ask you for additional information in order to confirm your identity and for security purposes. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law (e.g. if your request is unfounded or excessive).
You have the right to file a complaint with your local supervisory authority for data protection (but we still recommend that you contact us first).
If you are a GreatBoox Creator, and you wish to receive a copy, access and/or request us to make corrections to the Personal Information that you have stored with us (either yours or your Users), or wish to request a list of what Personal Information (if any) pertaining to you we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, please email us at privacy@greatboox.com You can also mail your request to GreatBoox, 51 Ben Gurion st. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your request promptly (unless we require further information from you in order to fulfil your request), subject to legal and other permissible considerations.
Please note that permanently deleting your GreatBoox account erases all of your Personal Information from GreatBoox's databases. After completing this process, you can no longer use any of your GreatBoox Services, your account and all its data will be removed permanently, and GreatBoox will not be able to restore your account or retrieve your data in the future. If you contact our support channels in the future, the system will not recognize your account and support agents will not be able to locate the deleted account.
8. Additional information for California residents
If you are a California resident using the Services, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) may provide you the right to request access to and deletion of your Personal Information.
In order to exercise the right to request access to and deletion of your Personal Information, please see the information on the section above. We do not discriminate based on the exercise of any privacy rights that you might have under this Section.
GreatBoox does not sell user Personal Information to third parties for the intents and purposes of the CCPA.
As informed above, GreatBoox may collect, store and process certain Personal Information of Users on our Creators’ behalf and at their direction. For such purposes, GreatBoox serves and shall be considered as a “Service Provider” and not as the “Business” (as both such capitalized terms are defined in the CCPA. GreatBoox does not and will not sell Creators or Users Personal Information.
Users of the Services who are California residents and under 18 years of age may request and obtain removal of content they posted by emailing us at privacy@greatboox.com. All requests must be labeled “California Removal Request” on the email subject line. All requests must provide a description of the content you want removed and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate that content. We do not accept California Removal Requests via postal mail, telephone, or facsimile. We are not responsible for notices that are not labeled or sent properly, and we may not be able to respond if you do not provide adequate information. Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the material. For example, materials that you have posted may be republished or reposted by another user or third party
9. What Do Users in the European Union Need to Know?
Rights Regarding Your Personal Data:
By law, users in the European Union, United Kingdom, Lichtenstein, Norway, or Iceland have certain rights with respect to their Personal Data, including those set forth below. For more information about these rights email us at privacy@greatboox.com. Please note that in some circumstances, we may not be able to fully comply with your request, such as if it is frivolous or extremely impractical, if it jeopardizes the rights of others, or if it is not required by law, but in those circumstances, we will still respond to notify you of such a decision. In some cases, we may also need to you to provide us with additional information, which may include Personal Data, if necessary to verify your identity and the nature of your request.
Access: You can request more information about the Personal Data we hold about you and request a copy of such Personal Data. You can also access certain of your Personal Data by emailing privacy@greatboox.com
Rectification: If you believe that any Personal Data we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that we correct or supplement such data by emailing privacy@greatboox.com You may also be able to correct some of this information directly by making updates to your account.
Erasure: You can request that we erase some or all of your Personal Data from our systems.
Withdrawal of Consent: If we are processing your Personal Data based on your consent (as indicated at the time of collection of such data), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note, however, that if you exercise this right, you may have to then provide express consent on a case-by-case basis for the use or disclosure of certain of your Personal Data, if such use or disclosure is necessary to enable you to utilize some or all of our Services.
Portability: You can ask for a copy of your Personal Data in a machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit the data to another controller where technically feasible.
Objection: You can contact us to let us know that you object to the further use or disclosure of your Personal Data for certain purposes, such as for direct marketing purposes.
Restriction of Processing: You can ask us to restrict further processing of your Personal Data.
Right to File Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint about GreatBoox’s practices with respect to your Personal Data with the supervisory authority of your country or EU Member State.
Transfer of EU Personal data : If you are located in Europe, when we will transfer your Personal Information to the United States or anywhere outside Europe, we will make sure that (i) there is a level of protection deemed adequate by the European Commission or (ii) that the relevant Model Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.
10. Data retention
We retain Personal Data about you for as long as you have an open account with us or as otherwise necessary to provide you Services. In some cases we retain Personal Data for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or collect fees owed, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. Afterwards, we retain some information in a depersonalized or aggregated form but not in a way that would identify you personally.
11. Security
We seek to protect Personal Data using appropriate technical and organizational measures based on the type of Personal Data and applicable processing activity. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your Account and Personal Data by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your Account.
We seek to ensure that user account information is kept private. However, GreatBoox cannot guarantee the security of any Account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.
GreatBoox Ltd. is based in Israel, which is considered by the European Commission to be offering an adequate level of protection for the Personal Information of EU Member State residents.
GreatBoox affiliates and Third-Party Service Providers that store or process your Personal Information on GreatBoox’s behalf are contractually committed to keep it protected and secured, in accordance with industry standards and regardless of any lesser legal requirements which may apply in their jurisdiction.
12. Third-party websites
Our Services may contain links to other websites or services. We are not responsible for such websites’ or services’ privacy practices. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our Services and to read the privacy statements of each and every website and service you visit before providing your Personal Information. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such linked third party websites and services.
13. Updates and interpretation
This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to operational or legal practices, or for regulatory reasons. If and when we make changes to this policy, we will notify you of the changes by posting the revised policy on this Website or by other means when appropriate. By continuing to use this Website or the Support Service after these changes are posted, you agree to the revised terms.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy:
GreatBoox may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes in the way we use Personal Data, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our Site or Services or sending you an email. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the Services after such changes have been first posted.
